grant wood (an iowa artist!) never did show us the lower half of the woman pictured in "american gothic" looked like.....and so, this halloween, i'm assuming she's pregnant. =) for our student ministries' costume party, brent and i went as these 2 well known charcters. it was a lot of fun. too bad you can't see his hair in this shot very well; i had a great time putting a big latex cap on his head and then cutting and gluing small pieces of dark gray hair onto his little bald head. after i finished, i told brent that i prayed he would never look like this. but then i decided, who am i kidding? he would be adorable either way.
Definitely a strong resemblance of Grant Wood's American Gothic! I think the little woman is pregnant!! :)
